Redding Pain Medicine is now implementing telemedicine (virtual visits).
This new care option will allow patients to interact with our providers via a secure video platform. Our goal is to provide the same high-quality services that you expect from Redding Pain Medicine in ways that are safe and convenient for all of our patients.
Telemedicine refers to the practice of caring for patients remotely using live video visits. It allows our healthcare providers to evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for a patient without an in-person visit. Our practice utilizes a platform called doxy.me for telemedicine visits.

What are some tips for telemedicine visits?
While you will need no special equipment, below you will find some tips to ensure your visit goes as smoothly as possible.
- These visits are best completed in a quiet space where the patient will experience as few interruptions as possible.
- Use headphones if available.
- If you don’t have headphones available, reduce the volume of your speakers to prevent feedback.
- If using an external microphone, move the microphone away from the speakers to reduce echo.
What is the cost of these visits?
Telemed visits will be billed to a patient’s health insurance. Per visit, costs are similar to a traditional office visit.
